Apparently the dealer I bought the car from decided to patch the O2 cable underneath the car, which ultimately shorted out the ECM. So the dealer I'm at now is working to get VW to replace it based on the problems with the last dealer - they'd need to replace the O2 sensor, the entire wiring harness and the ECM. YGH7rI.
