Hi, I just just stumbled across a problem with my golf after fixing a previous problem with a short circuit which blew the fuse for the indicators and hazards. After this was amended and the fuses replaced the indicators and hazards work all around again. However this time around my hazards don't flash when I lock or unlock the car.
Once the engine is started, the light should go out and stay out as long as the engine is running. If the oil pressure drops below approximately 0.3 bar or 5 psi when the engine is running below 2000 rpm, the light will flash. I do not need that. My advice: get yourself an AA battery powered LED torch and some cupboard lights. I must admit that my Mk4 does not have any "convenience module" so a simple fuse removal did the job. Maybe I'll connect the interior lighting back to the battery one day but for sure this won't be a starting battery.

So if you guys can help me and post the pin out will help me a lot. Buy the Bentley manual for the MK4; you'll need it. That has the complete pinout for the ECU, the cluster, and everything else
Correct, ground the black lead, touch the center bottom of the cigarette lighter. Also, take fuse 41 out and test there is power to one of the connections in the slots. Last, while the black lead is grounded put the meter on resistance and touch the barrel of the lighter socket. (not the center point) You should get very low resistance.
