The air intake is under the fuel tank, close to where it meets the saddle. Unfortunately, you need to remove the seat and partially remove the tank to get to it. (You have turned the fuel tap on and set the choke, haven't you?) 68mph sounds quite good. On my CG I can't quite get the needle to touch 70mph (indicated speed, mind, not "real" speed) on a still day, after some distance to accelerate and preferably going downhill; judging from the posted specs on the Honda site the Varadero is quite a bit more powerful (15bhp v.s 9bhp), but then it also weighs ~35KG more. Ideally I wanted a Honda Varadero 125, but these are incredibly expensive for a 125, so not worth it unless you plan to keep for a long time. With the key in, but off there is around 12.5v. With the ignition on, it drops to 11.85 v. with the engine idleling, its at 11.87v. Ive tried a brand new battery with the same issue, i.e the battery is not being charged, and the voltage drops. Im very confused, as the system doesnt seem to be charging. Must be the alternator.
